Our waiter, Andy (as my mother called him) came back to take our order, but was stopped by a manager and told that there were no cheese grits left. Upon being seated our drink orders were taken and we were given time to peruse the menu. We were seated inside (We were told the wait was for outside and/or inside and would probably be outside within the time frame given.), which was a plus for us. the restaurant was busy, however we were told that the wait would only be 20 to 30 minutes. We always trust recommendations made by locals and this one did not fail. Page's Okra Grill was recommended by an employee at Boone Hall Farms Market. My mother and I visited on December 30th as we were traveling home from Myrtle Beach. The only thing missing in the photo are the biscuits, sorry for the overlook. In total we were able to make 7 plates like the one pictured. The following photo shows how we plated the food we ordered from them. Mostly we are happy that they are open for take out and glad that we were able to support them. We were so pleased with everything we ate, everything was so tasty and well made. The biscuits were so good: not too dry and very buttery. It comes with 2 sides, and we ordered Mac and cheese (creamy, tasty and well made), and collard greens (not sweet, very flavorful, not greasy and with a little hot spice). It includes a very large tray of meatloaf (juicy, tender, with big chunks of onions and green peppers), that is served with a chunky, fresh and not sweet tomato sauce in separate containers. They serve it family style, which feeds about 6-7 people for $55 plus taxes. We were in the mood for meatloaf and thankfully that is one of their specialties, plus it was offered in the take out menu. We called and they told us that they have a limited menu to accommodate the take out orders. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local. However, we now try to support the local economy by ordering take out from the restaurants that offer it. Now with this Coronavirus situation this is. We are doing the Great American Loop trip (a boat trip that circumnavigates the Eastern half of the United States), and our favorite part of the trip is getting to a new port and eating the local foods.
